Ordering
The first step is to think about the delivery method you require. For example, do you want delivery from the concrete mixers – a standard truck mixer; or do you want the volumetric truck which allows you to spread deliveries out over a longer period so the concrete is mixed just as you are ready to use it? Check out the delivery page for more information on the two options.
Check too that you are eligible for delivery. In order to receive delivery you must live in one of the following areas: Lanark, Biggar, Carluke, Crawford, Lesmahagow and Larkhall; while volumetric deliveries can cover Glasgow, Edinburgh, Lanarkshire, the Borders and Stirlingshire. Remember that deliveries take place from 7am-4pm Monday to Friday; and from 7am-noon on Saturdays.
Assuming you have decided on the right delivery method for you, contact Granitmix directly and agree a time, ideally offering 24hrs notice. The delivery driver should be as helpful as possible in manoeuvring his truck as near to your work area as he can – but bear in mind that you may have to move some concrete either to your work area or from one part of the project to another. Remember that one cubic metre of concrete weighs about 2.2 tonnes, which means approximately 20 barrow loads, and that you will only have an hour or so before the concrete starts to go off so ensure you have adequate manpower for the job.
There are a host of ways to contact Granitmix to discuss your requirements further. You can either pop into the office in Lanark; call or fax; or send an email. The contact section provides all the information you need.
Whatever your readymix concrete needs, bear in mind that Granitmix can tailor its products to suit you – so if you’re in doubt, pick up a phone and let the team put your mind at rest.
